26 May Cape Town hike Kasteelspoort to Upper Cable Station
Welcome to Cape Town.
TABLE MOUNTAIN

We'll be hiking the most straightforward trail up the western flank of Table Mountain - Kasteelspoort.

This route takes us above the Atlantic Seaboard suburbs.

After reaching the upper Kasteelspoort trailhead at approximately 750-ish meters above sea level, we’ll take a well-earned rest. From there, the path levels out for a while, giving us a gentle break before the final climb up to the Upper Cable Station. From there we can view the historic city bowl and Table Bay.
Timing - It's always difficult to estimate exact timing because every group of hikers is different. We should take around 5 hours.
Key Points to Remember:
- Stick with your guide at all times. There are several key junctions on this trail, and it's important we stay together. Your safety is our priority, and we move as a team.
- Be sure you have everything listed on the gear and essentials checklist.
- Inform your guide of any allergies or medical conditions that emergency responders should be aware of—even if it seems unlikely to matter.
INTERESTING INFO:
On plants ( You'll hear about fynbos. Its special!)

We’re looking forward to a safe, enjoyable, and inspiring journey up one of Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks.
